Strategic Promotes Shany Seawright to Managing Director

SILVER SPRING, MD (September 3, 2008) – Strategic Communications Group, Inc. (Strategic), a nationally recognized, award-winning public relations agency, announced the promotion of Shany Seawright to managing director.

“During the past four years, Shany has proven herself to be an exceptional public relations professional with a real passion for technology,” said Marc Hausman, Strategic’s president and CEO.  “Shany understands the direction our industry is headed and has done an excellent job incorporating social media tactics into client programs.”

Seawright joined Strategic in 2004 with extensive PR agency experience in the Atlanta and Washington, DC markets, including Hill & Knowlton, GCI Group and Merritt Group.  Client experience included work on behalf of BellSouth, Motorola, MCI and a number of security companies, such as Qualys and former White House cybersecurity advisors, Richard Clarke and Howard Schmidt.

As managing director, Shany will continue to oversee her clients with the goal of expanding her portfolio of business at Strategic.  Her current client engagements include British Telecom (BT), Integral Systems (NASDAQ: ISYS), Microspace Communications and Epok.  She will also have additional corporate responsibility to support the growth and development of the agency.
