New Thinking in Government Social Media Campaign Selected as a Finalist for ITSMA Marketing Award
Silver Spring, MD (September 9, 2009) – With federal and state/local government agencies adopting social media tools to reach key constituents, BearingPoint sought to establish itself as the premier government 2.0 consultancy. The company’s New Thinking in Government campaign – developed in partnership with Strategic Communications Group (Strategic) – scored big with prospects and has now been recognized as a finalist in three award categories by the Information Technology Services Marketing Association (ITSMA).
Strategic worked closely with BearingPoint to create three components to the New Thinking in Government campaign—the GovTwit directory and community, the “GovTube” video series featuring interviews with BearingPoint subject matter experts, and the New Thinking in Government thought leadership blog. The campaign became a social media and viral marketing success story for BearingPoint.
The ITSMA awards focus exclusively on B2B marketing for services and solutions and emphasize excellence in the three most critical aspects of success: innovation, execution, and business results. BearingPoint’s campaign is a finalist in the Targeted Demand Generation, Leveraging Digital Marketing and Thought Leadership Marketing categories. The awards will be formally presented at ITSMA’s Annual Marketing Conference on October 27, 2009, at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.
