Question: Can good customer service be taught? If so, how have you seen it done?

We make teaching customer service a top priority at my firm. This is actually the topic of our agency-wide professional development seminar this month. As a group, we’re studying methods and strategies for ensuring our clients are receiving the best service possible. We’re also taking a look at real world examples of exceptional customer service from a cross-section of businesses and focusing on what works best and why. We have taken the view that not only can customer service be taught, but that like other skills, it must be continuously honed and practiced.
