My Life as a Tool: how, when (or if) to respond to negative comments and criticism to your blog

I am not too popular at the moment in certain cliques among the social media set.  Due to the writing in my blog, I’ve been accused of being “backwards,” told to “lighten up,” and even called a “tool.” How should I respond?
